Mary Ojulari: Championing Economic Empowerment with Bold Vision and Purpose

Mary Ojulari stands out as a powerhouse blending sharp corporate expertise with heart-led social impact.

With over 25 years of experience spanning finance, media, and automotive giants, Mary’s journey is a masterclass in leadership that has taken her from global boardrooms to the frontline of empowering Nigeria’s women and youth.

Mary’s impressive career kicked off in the UK, sharpening her skills with industry leaders like KPMG and Whitbread PLC.

Her strategic edge was further honed at the BBC, where she led business planning that shaped key operations.

Returning to Nigeria in 2012, Mary took command of financial strategies at CNBC and Forbes Africa, overseeing West African markets with finesse.

Today, as Managing Director of Weststar Associates Limited, Nigeria’s exclusive Mercedes-Benz distributor, she steers complex operations with unshakable confidence—from finance to customer experience.

Her influence also extends internationally as President of the European Business Chamber Nigeria (EuroCham), bridging European investments with Nigerian opportunities.

In 2024, Mary launched the Mary Ojulari Foundation, a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to igniting enterprise, education, and advocacy for young Nigerians—especially women.

At its core is the trailblazing Vanguard Fellowship: a fully-supported program that offers 20 extraordinary young female entrepreneurs a two-week intensive Ignite Bootcamp, tailored mentorship, a powerful network, and seed grants up to $5,000 to scale their dreams.

Mary’s passion for education and empowerment is grounded in her own life story.

After losing her father before university, the support from her uncle inspired a decade-long commitment to sponsoring 25 children through school and vocational training—many of whom are now flourishing professionals.

Expanding this legacy, the foundation’s Aspire Scholarship Programme brings hope and education to orphans and vulnerable youth across Nigeria.

Mary knows that true transformation means more than individual success—it requires rewriting the rules.

Through advocacy, community partnerships, and sustainable local networks, she’s paving the way for grassroots-driven growth that fuels equality, innovation, and entrepreneurship across the nation.

Mary Ojulari’s evolution from a global finance leader to a visionary social entrepreneur embodies what it means to lead with purpose—and to lift entire communities along the way.

Her foundation is a testament to the power of strategic action combined with unwavering compassion. The future she’s building is brighter, bolder, and truly inclusive.
