Championing Chemical-Free Nutrition in Nigeria – Grace Benjamin-Joshua

At the heart of Jos, Plateau State, a quiet revolution is taking place in Nigeria’s food industry, led by the passionate and resilient entrepreneur, Grace Hadiza Benjamin-Joshua.

As the founder and director of Dizauregi Services, Benjamin-Joshua is on a mission to redefine healthy eating by producing chemical-free food products that cater to the growing demand for natural and nutritious options.

Benjamin-Joshua’s journey into the world of entrepreneurship began modestly.

With a personal gift of just ₦20,000, she embarked on a venture that would later evolve into a thriving business.

Initially, she started by selling popular Nigerian spices such as jollof rice spice, pepper soup spice, and turmeric.

Her dedication to promoting health through natural foods led her to expand her product line to include green coffee, vegetable detox teas, fruit detox mixes, and traditional Nigerian mixes like moi-moi and akara.

Notably, she has successfully registered about ten of these products with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), ensuring their quality and safety.

Founded in 2021, Dizauregi Services operates under the brand name UREGI and is dedicated to producing chemical-free food products.

The company’s philosophy centers on the belief that natural foods and herbs are essential for maintaining health and preventing diseases.

By focusing on locally sourced ingredients and traditional Nigerian recipes, Dizauregi Services aims to provide consumers with healthier alternatives to processed foods.

Beyond her business endeavors, Benjamin-Joshua is also an advocate for entrepreneurship and healthy living.

She shares her experiences and insights through various platforms, including her book, “The Smart SME Blueprint,” where she offers practical advice to aspiring entrepreneurs on navigating the challenges of starting and growing a business .

Her active presence on social media further amplifies her message, as she engages with a community interested in wellness, nutrition, and entrepreneurship.

Benjamin-Joshua’s vision extends beyond her current achievements. She aspires to build a brand that not only provides healthy food options but also educates and empowers individuals to make informed dietary choices.

Her commitment to quality, authenticity, and community engagement positions her as a leading figure in Nigeria’s movement towards healthier living.

In a country where dietary-related health issues are on the rise, Grace Benjamin-Joshua’s work serves as a beacon of hope and a model for how entrepreneurship can drive positive change in the public health sector.
