Morayo Afolabi-Brown Bows Out of TVC After 12 Years as Your View Host

After more than a decade of steering conversations on one of Nigeria’s most popular morning talk shows, Your View, media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown is set to leave Television Continental (TVC).

Afolabi-Brown, who has anchored the show since its debut in 2013, officially tendered her resignation to TVC Communications, the parent company of TVC News, TVC Entertainment, Max FM, Adaba FM, and Yanga FM.

According to a statement signed by Edward Akintara, TVC’s Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager, her last day at the station will be Thursday, 29 August 2025.

The media house described her exit as the close of a “remarkable chapter,” noting that her decision stems from a desire to pursue a long-held passion project.

“We celebrate her for the incredible impact she has made, not only on Your View, but also on millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond,” the statement read.

Born and educated in Nigeria and the United States, Afolabi-Brown studied Political Science at Rutgers University in New Jersey before working in public relations and content development.

She later joined TVC as Deputy Director of Programmes and rose to become Managing Director of TVC Entertainment.

Beyond her broadcasting career, she is married to lawyer Femi Afolabi-Brown, with whom she has four children. In 2023, she released her memoir, Becoming the Queen of Talk TV, reflecting on her journey in media.

Despite her departure, TVC assured audiences that Your View will continue with its lineup of co-hosts, including Yeni Kuti, Osayuwamen Peace-Saleh, Tope Mark Odigie, Nyma Akashat Zibiri, Obiajulu Olabisi Ugboh, and Mariam Longe.

“Morayo will be dearly missed. However, the show remains strong and will continue to deliver the quality and relevance our audience expects,” TVC said, while also urging the public and media to extend continued respect and support to her as she embarks on her new chapter.

Launched in May 2013, Your View has grown into a leading platform for debates on politics, business, entertainment, and social issues in Nigeria.
