Elizade-JAC Appoints Taaooma as First Brand Ambassador

Elizade JAC Motors has announced award-winning skit maker and comedian, Maryam Apaokagi-Greene, popularly known as Taaooma, as its first-ever brand ambassador.

The unveiling, held in Lagos, marks a major shift in the automaker’s marketing strategy, aimed at boosting its visibility and strengthening consumer engagement in Nigeria’s competitive automobile market.

Speaking during the event, Demola Ade-Ojo, Managing Director/CEO of Elizade JAC Autoland Limited, highlighted the importance of the partnership, noting that while the company has long relied on its industry reputation, collaborating with Taaooma represents a fresh and relatable way to connect with a younger audience.

“This is the first time Elizade JAC is engaging a brand ambassador. Taaooma’s wide digital reach and unique style provide an opportunity to humanise the JAC brand, drive awareness, and establish it as aspirational and authentically Nigerian,” Ade-Ojo said, according to Punch’s report.

Olumide Olaokun, Senior Brand Manager, added that the move is part of the company’s broader goal to make JAC Motors a household name in Nigeria.

“Partnering with Taaooma allows us to connect with a new generation of consumers while reinforcing our long-term brand-building efforts,” he noted.

As part of the unveiling, Taaooma received a brand-new JAC JS6 SUV, symbolising her official induction into the JAC family.

Expressing excitement, she lauded the company’s vehicles for their style, durability, and reliability.
