Diarrha N’Diaye Appointed Executive Vice President of Kim Kardashian’s Skims Beauty

Beauty entrepreneur Diarrha N’Diaye and founder of the acclaimed clean beauty label Ami Colé, has been named Executive Vice President of Beauty and Fragrance at Kim Kardashian’s Skims Beauty, marking a defining milestone in her career.

In her new role, N’Diaye will lead product innovation, development, and brand strategy, steering the next phase of Skims’ expansion beyond its core apparel line into the global beauty market.

“I’ve sat on salon floors, worked long retail shifts, built my own brand, and now I’m taking an executive seat at a beauty company that’s redefining what inclusivity means,” N’Diaye told The Cut. “The sky really is the limit, and I want every little brown girl to know that.”

Her appointment follows the September 30 closure of Ami Colé, the brand she founded in 2021 to celebrate melanin-rich skin and redefine clean beauty for deeper complexions.

Reflecting on that chapter, she said, “I’m proud to have lived my dream out loud, failed, and picked myself up into an amazing new opportunity to continue doing the work I love.”

In a press release, N’Diaye expressed excitement about shaping Skims Beauty’s direction: “I’m thrilled to bring in best-in-class formulas and a customer-first approach.” Kardashian shared similar enthusiasm, noting, “I want Skims Beauty to be a space where everyone feels represented — and there was no better person to help us achieve that than Diarrha.”

The move signifies a major step toward inclusivity and authenticity in the luxury beauty sector, with Skims positioning itself as a full-spectrum lifestyle brand.

As the company expands into skincare and fragrance, N’Diaye’s leadership is expected to infuse the line with her signature blend of innovation, representation, and cultural awareness — principles that made Ami Colé a celebrated name in modern beauty.

Her journey from Harlem-based founder to a top executive in one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty empires underscores a powerful message of resilience and possibility for women of color in global leadership.
