    Binta Max-Gbinije Appointed Independent Non-Executive Director at First Asset Management

    Binta Max-Gbinije has been appointed Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of First Asset Management Limited, strengthening the leadership team of the asset management firm under First HoldCo Plc’s non-bank subsidiaries.

    The board reshuffle, which received regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), is part of First HoldCo’s broader strategy to deepen corporate governance and position its non-commercial banking subsidiaries for sustainable growth.

    Max-Gbinije brings extensive experience from over three decades in strategic leadership across wholesale and retail banking, wealth and fiduciary management, treasury marketing, and asset management. 

    She also serves as Chief Executive Officer of BMG Seven Limited, a boutique management consulting firm, and holds board roles in several Nigerian companies.

    Her appointment places her alongside Chairman Ebikabo Williams, Independent Director Alero Mobola Adollo, and Non-Executive Director Usman Dantata Jr., as part of the board entrusted with guiding the firm’s strategic direction in Nigeria’s competitive asset and wealth management sector.
