Dr. Hafsah Balogun Omotoso on Building Trust, Wealth, and Leadership in African Real Estate

Dr. Hafsah Balogun Omotoso is the Founder of HAFBAM Global Properties. She has built a brand rooted in trust, ethical investment practices, and long-term wealth creation for clients within and beyond Africa.

With a background shaped by global exposure, professional certifications, and a leadership philosophy anchored in integrity, Dr. Hafsah’s rise in a highly competitive sector reflects both strategic clarity and purpose-driven ambition.

In this interview with TWN, she speaks candidly about her journey into real estate, the values driving her company’s rapid growth, and her broader vision for African property investment.

TWN: You officially launched your real   decision to enter the industry at the time?

Dr. Hafsah Balogun Omotoso: I entered real estate with a clear understanding of the gaps within the industry, particularly around trust and structured investment guidance.

Many people wanted to invest in property but lacked access to reliable information and ethical representation.

Launching my career in 2021 allowed me to build something purpose-driven—HAFBAM Global Properties—where real estate is treated not just as a transaction, but as a long-term wealth strategy for clients within and outside Nigeria.

TWN: HAFBAM Global Properties has grown rapidly in a competitive market. What has driven that momentum?

Dr. Hafsah: Growth, for us, has been a direct result of consistency and credibility. From the beginning, I focused on professionalism, transparency, and delivering measurable results.

Clients return—and refer others—because they see real value in how we approach property investment. We are intentional about aligning every deal with our clients’ financial goals, and that has fueled our expansion.

TWN: Your work has earned you several major industry awards. How do these recognitions reflect your impact?

Dr. Hafsah: Being consistently recognized by the largest brokerage firm in Africa and other notable institutions highlights the importance of ethical leadership in this space.

While the accolades are encouraging, what matters most to me is that our work continues to influence how real estate is practiced—more structured, more transparent, and more client-focused.

TWN: Integrity is frequently associated with your brand. Why has this become central to your leadership philosophy?

Dr. Hafsah: Real estate thrives on trust. Without integrity, no deal truly succeeds. I have always believed that credibility is the most valuable asset in this industry.

Every decision I make—personally and professionally—is guided by the understanding that long-term impact is built on honesty, accountability, and respect for clients’ investments.

TWN: How has your global exposure shaped your approach to real estate consulting?

Dr. Hafsah: Being a certified member of BRG and an affiliate of the London Real Estate Academy has significantly influenced my perspective. It exposed me to global systems, investment frameworks, and best practices that elevate how we operate locally.

This combination allows me to provide clients with advice that meets international standards while remaining grounded in Africa’s unique market realities.

TWN: Beyond real estate, you hold an Honorary Doctorate in Global Leadership and serve as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador. How do these roles intersect with your business work?

Dr. Hafsah: Leadership extends beyond business success. These roles reflect my commitment to influence, mentorship, and social responsibility. I believe that as professionals grow in visibility and impact, there is a duty to inspire others—especially young people—to pursue leadership with purpose and integrity.

TWN: As a woman excelling in a traditionally male-dominated industry, what does your journey represent?

Dr. Hafsah: My journey represents possibility. It shows that women can lead, build wealth, and remain grounded in their values.

Success does not require compromise of identity or principles. I hope my story encourages women to pursue excellence boldly and confidently.

TWN: What is your long-term vision for HAFBAM Global Properties and African real estate as a whole?

Dr. Hafsah: My vision is to position HAFBAM Global Properties as a trusted benchmark for profitable and ethical real estate investment in Africa.

I want to contribute to an industry that attracts global confidence, empowers local investors, and creates sustainable wealth. Ultimately, it’s about building systems that outlast individuals and create lasting value.
