The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) has announced the appointment of Dr. Nneka Okekearu as the new Regional Advisory Committee Chair of the ANDE West Africa Chapter, marking a significant step in strengthening leadership and strategic direction for small and growing businesses across the region.
Dr. Okekearu brings over 25 years of experience in building leadership and management capacity, with a strong focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and enterprise development.

She currently serves as Director of the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University, where she has led several high-impact entrepreneurship and women-focused initiatives across Africa.
She holds a doctorate in Entrepreneurship and is an IFC-certified master trainer, having mentored more than 300 business leaders and entrepreneurs throughout her career.
Her work has played a pivotal role in shaping sustainable enterprises and advancing inclusive economic growth across the continent.
In her new role, Dr. Okekearu will provide strategic guidance to the ANDE West Africa Chapter, supporting its mission to foster the growth of small and growing businesses while empowering the next generation of business leaders across the region.
ANDE expressed confidence that her depth of experience, leadership, and commitment to entrepreneurship development will further strengthen the network’s impact in West Africa.
