ARISE Media Group has named Chinelo Anohu as Woman of Impact in Africa 2026, recognising her contributions to governance reform, institutional development and economic growth across the continent.
The honour, announced in commemoration of International Women’s Month, celebrates Anohu’s track record in both public service and private sector leadership.
A governance expert with extensive experience, she previously served as Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM), where she led key reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, improving regulatory oversight and enhancing confidence in Nigeria’s pension system.

Anohu also held strategic roles at the Bureau of Public Enterprises and later at the African Development Bank (AfDB).
At the AfDB, she was instrumental in advancing the Africa Investment Forum, helping to drive investment transactions and partnerships designed to accelerate infrastructure development and economic expansion across African countries.
Currently leading Mutandis Africa Group, she focuses on investment facilitation, policy advisory and strategic development initiatives across African markets, further consolidating her influence in shaping economic opportunities on the continent.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 8, 2026, in Lagos, aligning with International Women’s Day celebrations.
Her recognition spotlights how her work reflects measurable impact, integrity and transformational leadership in her sector.
