    Meet ​Christiana Kayode, the Digital Maven Redefining African Beauty and Fashion​

    In Africa’s buzzing world of entrepreneurs, few people stand out quite like Christiana Kayode, better known as Berbiedoll.

    From her early days as a social media influencer to establishing Berbie Beauty, a brand that seamlessly blends fashion, empowerment, and authenticity, Kayode’s journey epitomizes the modern African entrepreneurial spirit.​

    Born on April 30, 1993, in Lagos, Nigeria, Kayode’s passion for communication led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Houdegbe North America University in Benin Republic . Her academic background laid the foundation for her adeptness in connecting with audiences—a skill that would prove invaluable in her future endeavors.​

    In April 2017, Kayode launched Berbie Beauty, an athleisure brand that transcends traditional fashion norms. “Berbie Beauty is more than just an athleisure brand; it’s a movement dedicated to empowering individuals and promoting self-expression,” she says. 

    The brand’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in its diverse product range, catering to various body types and promoting confidence among its clientele.​

    The opening of Berbie Beauty’s flagship store in Lagos in December 2024 marked a significant milestone. Kayode described it as “a dream turned into reality, a testament to countless hours of hard work, dedication, consistency, and unwavering passion” .

    Kayode’s rise to prominence is not solely attributed to her fashion acumen but also to her authentic digital presence. 

    With over 20,000 followers on social media, she emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself. 

    “It’s crucial to stay true to yourself and maintain an authentic voice,” she advises . According to her, this authenticity has fostered trust among her audience, translating into brand loyalty and sustained growth.​

    Kayode have also been recognised for her contributions. In 2024, she received the “Epitome of Humanitarian Services” award from the Nigerian Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative, recognizing her commitment to youth empowerment and societal development . 

    Additionally, she was honored with the “Celebrity Entrepreneur of the Year” award at the 2024 La Mode Awards.

    As Berbie Beauty steps into 2025, Kayode envisions expanding its reach, developing new products, and ensuring that its core values of inclusivity and confidence remain at the forefront.
