Sandra Amachree’s Blueprint for African Creativity & Brand Leadership

Sandra Amachree, currently Global Senior Brand Manager for eazle, HEINEKEN’s B2B platform, stands as a trailblazer in marketing strategy and creative leadership.

Her journey from cross-functional roles in Nigeria to judging at Cannes Lions marks her as a visionary shaping Africa’s creative future.

With a foundation in Computer Science and an MBA from Lagos Business School, Sandra entered the corporate sphere with roles across sales, HR, and brand PR.

At Nigerian Breweries/HEINEKEN, she led transformation initiatives—integrating media, brand PR, and sponsorship into one cohesive marketing communications powerhouse, overseeing 21+ brands, and also managing media excellence across two West African markets.

Her leadership was central to Project SWORDFISH, which enabled HEINEKEN South Africa to successfully emerge from its joint venture with Diageo, establishing itself as a full-fledged operating company through strategic people and change management.

Sandra is known for pioneering the first marketing mix modelling study in the Africa-Middle East-Eastern Europe (AMEE) region, boosting ROI on media spending and aligning brand strategy with business growth imperatives.

She also orchestrated the launch of an AMEE regional media hub, elevating media planning standards across West Africa and earning the prestigious HEINEKEN Connected Teams Award for collaboration and excellence.

As a jury member at Cannes Lions 2025, chairing the Young Lions Marketers competition and speaking at panels like “Africa: Future of Certainty,” Sandra positioned Africa not just as a narrative subject but as a narrative leader. She delivered a powerful message:

“Creativity is not just about art … Africa’s creative economy is one of its most valued assets—it’s fuelling innovation, creating opportunities, and shaping a future we’re proud to lead.”

Committed to industry building, Sandra served as the first female chairperson of the Lagos Mainland Chapter of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and remains a national council member, advocating for professionalism and creative excellence in marketing across Nigeria.

She is also often invited to mentor emerging communication professionals across Africa, reinforcing the continent’s narrative capacity on global platforms.

Sandra’s impact has been formally recognised: her efforts in public affairs earned her the Outstanding Public Affairs Professional award at the Lagos NIPR Awards, while her collaborative leadership won her the Connected Teams Award at HEINEKEN’s internal commerce week. She continues to be celebrated as a beacon of marketing strategy and creative leadership in Africa.

As Sandra Amachree continues to chart impactful campaigns, elevate brand-building systems, and elevate African creativity to global rooms, her trajectory marks more than individual success—it signals the ascendancy of Africa’s creative economy and leadership on the world stage.
