    Shellye Archambeau Named 2026 Women of Power Legacy Honoree for Trailblazing Tech Leadership

    Former tech CEO and Fortune 500 board member Shellye Archambeau will be honoured at the 2026 Legacy Awards Gala during the BLACK ENTERPRISE Women of Power Summit, recognising her decades-long impact in corporate leadership and technology.

    Archambeau, a former CEO of MetricStream and a respected Fortune 500 boardroom leader, will receive the Legacy Award in celebration of her contributions to advancing Black women in corporate leadership. 

    With more than 30 years of experience building and scaling both B2C and B2B technology companies, she is widely regarded as a pioneer, becoming the first Black woman CEO in Silicon Valley with deep expertise in governance, risk and compliance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

    She currently serves as a senior executive mentor with The ExCo Group and sits on the boards of Verizon Communications, where she chairs the Corporate Governance and Policy Committee, Roper Technologies, Okta, and Lineage. 

    Her board experience also extends to nonprofit organisations including Catalyst and Braven, as well as previous roles with Nordstrom and Arbitron.

    During her tenure as CEO of MetricStream, Archambeau helped position the company as a global leader in governance, risk, and compliance solutions. 

    Her executive career includes leadership roles at NorthPoint Communications, Loudcloud, and Blockbuster.com, where she spearheaded the company’s transition into the digital space.

    Beyond the boardroom, Archambeau has remained committed to mentorship and thought leadership. She has appeared as a business expert on CNN and CNBC, contributed to Forbes, and partnered with HBCUs and leadership development initiatives. 

    In 2020, she authored Unapologetically Ambitious: Take Risks, Break Barriers, and Create Success on Your Own Terms, which was recognised by Fortune as one of the year’s top business books.

    Her accolades include being named the second most influential African American in IT by Business Insider, inclusion on Newsmax’s list of the 100 Most Influential Business Leaders in America, and receiving the NCWIT Symons Innovator Award.

    Archambeau will accept her Legacy Award alongside other distinguished honourees such as Angela Bassett, Carla Harris, Rosalind “Roz” Brewer, and Bennie Wiley at the 2026 Legacy Awards Gala.
