    South Africa, Botswana Ranked Among World’s Top Travel Destinations  

    South Africa has once again affirmed its global tourism appeal, ranking fourth in the 2025 Telegraph Travel Awards—the highest position for any African country. 

    Botswana also secured a spot in the top 10, coming in at number ten.

    Voted for by tens of thousands of readers, the prestigious annual awards recognize the most beloved destinations around the world. 

    South Africa‘s enduring popularity was credited to its rich tourism diversity, from the iconic cityscape of Cape Town and the wildlife of Kruger National Park to the panoramic Garden Route.

    Cape Town also earned an additional accolade, being named one of the world’s 20 best cities for nightlife in the Times 2025 global rankings. The city was celebrated for its vibrant after-dark scene—featuring everything from underground raves to rooftop lounges, all pulsating to the rhythms of Afro-house and amapiano.

    Botswana maintained its position in the top 10, reflecting steady global admiration for its untouched natural beauty and commitment to sustainable tourism.
