Meet Harvard-Trained Strategist Empowering Women to Redefine Success — Dr. Bola Tafawa

In a world where the lines between professional achievement and personal fulfillment often blur, Dr. Bola Tafawa emerges as a guiding light for women seeking to harmonize purpose with prosperity.

A Harvard-educated social epidemiologist turned executive coach, Dr. Tafawa is reshaping narratives around success, particularly for mid-career Christian women navigating life’s transitions.

Dr. Tafawa’s illustrious career spans continents and sectors. With a Ph.D. in Social Epidemiology and Health Communications from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan, she has led health initiatives across Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, and the United States.

Her roles have included managing health programs for corporates, governments, and NGOs, showcasing her prowess in business model design, health system scaling, and supply chain management.

Despite these accomplishments, Dr. Tafawa experienced a profound sense of unfulfillment. Having built a $40 million portfolio aimed at improving African families’ health, she found herself overwhelmed by her myriad roles—corporate leader, advisor, ministry leader, wife, and mother. This introspection led her to a pivotal realization: true success encompasses more than professional accolades; it requires alignment with one’s God-given purpose.

Embracing this new found clarity, Dr. Tafawa founded MzimaLife, a personal development company dedicated to helping women achieve clarity, confidence, and conviction in their life’s purpose. “Mzima,” meaning “abundance” in Swahili, encapsulates the company’s mission to guide clients toward a life of fulfillment and impact.

Through coaching, training, and speaking engagements, Dr. Tafawa empowers women to transition from a state of being “overachieving but under-living” to one where they can “work less and live more.”

Her approach combines data-driven strategies with spiritual insights, assisting clients in identifying their unique superpowers and aligning their careers with their divine purpose.

Dr. Tafawa’s programs are not just about professional development; they’re about holistic transformation, enabling women to thrive in all facets of life.

Dr. Tafawa’s journey underscores the power of self-discovery and the courage to pivot toward a more meaningful path. Her work resonates with women worldwide who seek to break free from societal expectations and craft lives that reflect their true identities and aspirations.

As a mother of four, a business owner, and a mentor, Dr. Tafawa exemplifies the balance she advocates. Her story serves as an inspiration, illustrating that it’s never too late to redefine success and pursue a life rich in purpose and joy.

In an era where burnout is rampant and the quest for authenticity is paramount, Dr. Bola Tafawa stands as a beacon, illuminating the path to a life where purpose and prosperity coexist harmoniously.
