Stella Ndekile Unveils AI Skin Decoder to Transform Africa’s Beauty Industry

Nigerian beauty entrepreneur and certified medical aesthetician Stella Ndekile has launched an AI-powered Skin Decoder, a pioneering innovation designed to push Africa’s beauty industry beyond surface-level treatments.

The tool, unveiled at the 17th Lagos Makeup Fair, applies advanced data analysis to assess key skin health factors such as hydration, texture, and pigmentation, providing users with evidence-based skincare recommendations tailored to their unique needs.

Ndekile, who is also a medical laboratory scientist and founder of Nuban Cares, said the platform was created to empower consumers with deeper insights into their skin.

“The tool allows us to offer precise, personalised skincare solutions that align with our mission of promoting holistic well-being,” she explained.

Attendees at the launch praised the innovation, noting its potential to drive research, technological adoption, and consumer trust within Africa’s personal care industry.

By shifting focus from generic product marketing to science-driven skincare, experts say the AI Skin Decoder could position Nigeria as a hub for digital beauty innovation.

The launch underscores Ndekile’s broader mission to reshape perceptions of African beauty through technology, research, and consumer empowerment.
