Levene Energy Appoints Nneka Arowolo as Group Managing Director

Levene Energy has announced the appointment of Nneka Arowolo as its new Group Managing Director, effective February 2026, marking a significant leadership transition within the energy company.

In her new role, Arowolo will oversee the day-to-day operations of Levene Energy, taking over operational leadership from the Founder and incumbent Group Chief Executive Officer, Nzan Ogbe.

Ogbe will transition into a more strategic role, remaining active on the Board where he will continue to provide guidance, governance oversight, and strategic direction to the Group.

Arowolo brings extensive experience in the global energy sector, having spent nearly 17 years with ExxonMobil affiliates in Nigeria.

Her career spans senior leadership roles in supply chain management, complex commercial negotiations, financial evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and the execution of multi-billion-dollar greenfield and brownfield projects.

She has worked closely with government stakeholders and international oil companies, earning a reputation for execution excellence and effective stakeholder management in highly complex operating environments.

Prior to her career in the energy sector, Arowolo worked with a leading financial services firm in Chicago, strengthening her expertise in finance and commercial strategy.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she specialised in Strategy, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.

Commenting on the appointment, the Board of Levene Energy stated that Arowolo’s depth of experience, global exposure, and values-driven leadership strongly align with the company’s long-term growth objectives and operational excellence agenda.

Speaking on the transition, Ogbe described Arowolo’s appointment as a key milestone in the company’s evolution, noting that her commercial judgment, leadership capability, and global energy experience position her well to lead the next phase of Levene Energy’s growth while preserving its founding values and long-term vision.

Arowolo’s appointment reinforces Levene Energy’s commitment to strong governance, sustainable growth, and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
