Kigali to Host 2025 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit

The Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, in collaboration with the organizers of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, has officially announced the 2025 edition of the 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit.

The summit is set to take place from July 4 to 6, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda.

In addition to the conference, nominations are now open for the 2025 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa Awards, which honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to peace, development, and societal progress across the continent.

With the theme “Leadership Frameworks for Governance, Business Growth, Investment Opportunities, and Sustainable Development in Africa”, the summit will convene top business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping Africa’s economic and social landscape.

According to Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director, the summit has grown into a pivotal platform for fostering economic growth, leadership development, and recognition of impactful contributions to Africa’s progress.

“Over the years, this event has served as a catalyst for economic transformation, youth leadership development, and the recognition of individuals and organizations creating positive change in society,” Amafibe stated on Friday.

The 2025 edition will feature three major award categories:

    • 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa
    • 100 Most Notable Women Africa 2025
    • 100 Most Notable Young Entrepreneurs 2025

Awardees will be selected from diverse sectors, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agriculture, Education, Infrastructure, Environment, and Governance.

The event will also provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and partnerships aimed at driving sustainable development across Africa. The summit is expected to attract high-profile dignitaries from across the continent, including government officials, business executives, and previous award recipients.

Invitations have been extended to the governors of Abia, Gombe, Rivers, Enugu, and Delta states in Nigeria, as well as the Vice President of Kenya and the Presidents of Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, and Ghana.

“This year’s edition will be bigger and more remarkable than ever. We have taken extensive measures to ensure a truly memorable experience,” the statement assured.

Over the years, the 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit has solidified its reputation as a key event for dialogue, partnerships, and actionable strategies driving Africa’s development.

The 2025 edition aims to further push this legacy by spotlighting visionary leaders and businesses shaping the continent’s future.
