LG Unveils AI-Powered Smart Home Innovations

LG Electronics has introduced a new range of artificial intelligence-driven home solutions at InnoFest 2026 in Abu Dhabi and Mega HORECA 2026 in Nigeria, reinforcing its commitment to bringing advanced smart technologies closer to consumers and businesses across the Middle East and Africa.

In a statement, the company explained that showcasing the same innovations across different regions highlights its strategy of combining global technological progress with local relevance.

According to LG, this approach ensures inclusivity, localisation, and practical application of artificial intelligence in everyday living.

At InnoFest 2026 in Abu Dhabi, LG presented a broad portfolio of AI-enabled home and lifestyle products tailored to the MEA market.

The exhibition spotlighted its expanding smart ecosystem, where home appliances, air solutions, and connected devices work together seamlessly to enhance convenience, personalise user experiences, and improve energy efficiency.

A key attraction was the company’s advanced residential laundry collection.

The lineup featured appliances equipped with AI Wash and AI Dry technologies, designed to automatically detect fabric types and load sizes, optimise washing and drying cycles, and reduce energy usage.

Among the highlights was the award-winning 29-inch LG SIGNATURE Wash Combo, described as a premium all-in-one washer-dryer with the largest capacity globally.

LG also expanded its WashTower series with 24-inch, 25-inch, and 27-inch models, offering space-saving designs and flexible installation options suited to modern homes.

In the kitchen segment, LG introduced its ‘Fit & Max’ concept, which blends built-in aesthetics with intelligent, user-focused functionality.

The LG InstaView French door refrigerator stood out with features such as a zero-clearance hinge for seamless kitchen integration and AI Fresh technology that automatically adjusts cooling settings based on usage patterns.

The company noted that the diverse refrigerator lineup strengthens its position as a leading brand in the MEA market.

Extending its showcase to Nigeria at Mega HORECA 2026, LG provided hospitality operators, business partners, and consumers with hands-on experience of its AI-powered technologies.

Attendees explored smart refrigerators with adaptive cooling, AI-enabled laundry systems, intelligent cooking appliances, and advanced air-conditioning units designed for homes, hotels, and restaurants.

One of the major attractions from LG’s Eco Solutions portfolio was its flagship dehumidifier, engineered to prevent mold and mildew while operating quietly for up to 23 hours daily.

The product’s sleek design, intuitive interface, and strong moisture-control performance reflect the company’s emphasis on health, comfort, and improved indoor air quality.

President of LG West Africa, Mr Hyoung Sub Ji, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to delivering locally tailored smart solutions across the region.

He stated that LG remains focused on developing user-centric innovations that simplify daily life while fostering meaningful partnerships and long-term growth within the Middle East and Africa.

Through its participation in both exhibitions, LG reiterated its vision of making cutting-edge smart living solutions globally competitive while ensuring they remain accessible and relevant to local markets throughout the MEA region.
