The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) has officially announced the appointment of Stacey A. Liburd as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 15, 2025.

A seasoned tourism executive with over 15 years of experience in destination marketing and development, Liburd is expected to bring fresh leadership, regional insight, and innovative strategies to the role.

Liburd previously served as Director of Tourism at the Anguilla Tourist Board, where she spearheaded award-winning marketing initiatives, enhanced international air connectivity, and promoted sustainable tourism growth.

Her extensive career includes expertise in strategic brand positioning, aviation partnerships, and high-profile global travel events such as Virtuoso Travel Week, ILTM Cannes, and IMEX Americas.

In addition to her public sector achievements, she has held senior marketing roles in the private hospitality industry, where she successfully launched luxury property campaigns and cultivated partnerships with top-tier travel consortia.

Reacting to her appointment, Liburd expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “It is a true honour to lead the Grenada Tourism Authority. I extend my thanks to the Minister of Tourism and the Board for their trust, and I am especially grateful to Ms. Petra Roach for her remarkable leadership. I look forward to working collaboratively to further strengthen Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique’s position as leading Caribbean destinations.”

The Chairman of the GTA, Randall Dolland, welcomed the appointment, emphasizing Liburd’s strategic mindset and marketing acumen as key assets for the continued advancement of Grenada’s tourism sector.

Tourism Minister, Honourable Adrian Thomas, also lauded the appointment, noting, “Mrs. Liburd’s leadership will help drive innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the sector. We thank Ms. Petra Roach for her outstanding service, which has significantly elevated Grenada’s global tourism profile.”

Ms. Roach is set to transition to a senior leadership role within the private sector at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
